Juniors

Open to all age School Children, 'Junior Run Club' seeks to provide our younger athletes with coaching advice, running tuition and a lot of fun. Currently Junior Run Club operates on Tuesdays (Merimbula) and Thursdays (Bega) during school terms. Please check the Sapphire Coast Runners Facebook page for updates as sessions are not run every week depending on weather and availability of volunteers

The sessions are 1 hour in length and are run by an Athletics NSW qualified coach. All adults supervising and coaching hold current NSW Working With Children Checks. The sessions are designed to cater for all participants, regardless of running ability or experience.

Participants should always be dressed appropriately and ensure they bring a hat, sunscreen and water. Junior Run Club is run entirely by volunteers and we do ask that parents support our younger athletes by encouraging respectful and responsible behaviour during sessions.

For insurance purposes all participants MUST be financial members of Sapphire Coast Runners. This membership also allows participation in all other Sapphire Coast Runners events, many of which specifically cater for our younger athletes.

In short, it's a great way to get active and have fun!!
