Local Trail - Tura Head Trail
Trail Difficulty:
Pacific Way to Tura Head Trail
Getting there
To get to the track start, travel along Pacific Way 2.1km from Sapphire Coast Drive or along Pacific Way for 1.5km from Golf Circuit.
The track
Start by heading down the newly sealed section of road and take the left fork at to the two-way junction. Pass the sewage sub-station to enter the single track. At approx. 150m from the start (at Pacific Way), take the track to the right down to a small swamp and continue over an open drain along the single track. At approx. 400m the track crosses another, more defined, single track that leads to the beach from Headland Drive. Keep going straight ahead to reach the 'very springy' homemade ladder bridge, continuing over the bridge and meandering up to the Tura Head Carpark at approx. 950m. Once entered the carpark, turn right and head past the locked
gate to enter the Tura Head track. At approx. 1.2km, there's a track intersection, take the track that veers to the right to continue to the
point of Tura Head. At approx. 1.3km, there's a stunning lookout option on the right with a seat to take it all in. At 1.8km the track ends as you
reach the spectacular views from the point of Tura Head.
Difficulty
Easy (just need to be aware that it’s a trail and it has plenty of exposed roots).
Connections
- From/To the south, the track connects with Mundooi Track – Tura Golf Course
